Let's Get America Moving

NextFit is about helping people change their lives through fitness, one person at a time. Through the expert coaching inside the Keychain Trainer, we spread the message that getting fit can be fun, easy, and affordable for anyone.

Thanks to the exclusive technology in NextFit, this isn't a one-size-fits all program, but a real dialogue between the listener and the expert. NextFit custom-builds every program and changes each workout to match each person's specific needs, goals, and challenges.
NextFit is part of a worldwide awakening that's reshaping how people view fitness. At its heart, NextFit is a way to connect people to this movement, and to a community of people who band together to lift up, motivate, and encourage one another.

Getting Better All the Time

That's why NextFit works: rather than focusing on a seemingly unattainable target, we just ask people to show up, listen, and let their coach show them how to do just a little better than last time.

This spirit of improvement is at the heart of NextFit. Our team is a tight-knit group of fun, committed people whose highest goal is to create the most motivating, fun, and effective way to get fit.
This passion comes not only from within, but hearing from people who were able to lose weight after years of frustration, gym goers who conquered their fear of weight training equipment, busy parents who were finally able to make a little time to discover the joys of walking, and people who discover the life-altering changes that can happen when a fitness plan is truly within reach.

How it all started...

Jeff knew people weren't going to respond to signs, pictures, or even video screens at stations in a gym; there had to be a better way to get through. As he looked around, he saw that just about everyone was off in their own world, listening to music on MP3 players.

There was a huge missing component to printed workout plans, DVDs, and books: nothing was there to take your hand to get you across the finish line, so most people gave up before making much progress. The entire fitness industry seemed to be stuck in old ways, with old technology, and with no way to close this gap.
If you could offer real, personal coaching, combine it with music, and offer it on MP3 players, it could be a powerful tool to get people in the gym to try something new, break up the monotony, and speed up progress. More importantly, it could be a lever to pry people up off the couch and into some walking shoes.
Built From Scratch
In much the way Jeff never gave up on his own weight loss goals, he refused to compromise on his vision for building NextFit. It had to be real personal training, it had to use music to motivate, and it had to be affordable.
A system to build custom personal training sessions was nowhere to be found; it had to be built over the course of years. Thousands of hours would have to be spent in the recording studio, building the necessary audio library from scratch. The technology to intelligently combine music with these workouts would need to be coded by hand.
From the beginning, no expense (in time or money) was spared to give people real hope for reaching their fitness goals. After 15 million dollars in development and nearly four years of building and recording, we've found a better way: The NextFit Keychain Trainer
