Meet Nextfit Trainer Jari Love
Jari Love is a certified personal trainer and the creator of Get RIPPED! the multiphase, no-nonsense fully body workout system designed to help people of any fitness level shed unwanted pounds in just weeks. Jari has just recently filmed four new workouts that will add to her product line. The hot-selling and critically acclaimed Get RIPPED!series enables individuals to burn up to three times more calories than the traditional weight-training program, and has received rave reviews from fitness critics throughout North America since the first title debuted in late 2005.
After many years as a recording artist, model and actor, Jari Love obtained her Personal Fitness Trainer (PFT) certification and began working with clients as a personal trainer. A competitive runner since her teens, health and fitness has always been central to Jari’s life. However, with increasing responsibilities over time she had fewer hours to devote to training, so she used her knowledge of physiology to create Get RIPPED!, a results-oriented workout for the busy parent and business person whose goal is to maintain peak fitness. Jari named this 5-phase program Get RIPPED! after the weight-lifting term meaning increased muscle and decreased body fat. After many of her personal clients were able to meet lifelong fitness goals as a result of doing the program, Jari decided that it was possible to develop group fitness classes based on the same concepts.
Jari and her workouts have recieved rave reviews and the accolades from fitness critics continue to pile. Jari and her series have been featured in a number of health and fitness magazines as well as regional and national newspapers throughout North America. Most recently, Jari was featured in the New York Times on November 15, 2007 as one of the leading DVD makers. Her series has been a top pick on a number of occasions in Shape and Fitnessmagazines. Most recently, her newly released Get RIPPED! & Chiseled was highlighted in the magazine’s "Top 10 New Workout DVDs" and named best for "Advanced Exercisers" in the February 2008 issue. Her previous Get RIPPED! 1000 was a top pick and named best for "Burning Mucho Calories" in the June 2007 issue. In addition, Shape magazine rated Get RIPPED! Slim & Lean as a top fitness DVD in the December 2006 issue while Fitnessmagazine rated Get RIPPED! Slim & Lean as one of the best fitness DVDs of 2006 and singled out as best for "Total Body Sculpting" in the January 2007 issue. Further, Fitness magazine rated her first DVD Get RIPPED! as one of the best fitness DVDs of 2005 and singled out as best for "Total Body Tone Up" in the January 2006 issue. Jari's background as a certified trainer, fitness club owner, author and creator of the successful Get RIPPED!series garnered her a spot on the Fitness Magazine Advisory Board where she serves as a regular fitness expert for the magazine. Jari is also a frequent contributor Replay Magazinewhich is distributed all across Canada. Finally, Jari has just recently entered into an exciting new business venture with NextFit.
In television, Jari has been in demand for live fitness demonstrations throughout North America. In the U.S., she has made recent local ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox and The CW affiliate appearances in New York, Chicago, Washington D.C., Detroit, Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Phoenix, San Diego and Fresno. In Canada, she has made live guest appearances on a variety of television oulets, including CTV, Chum, CBC, and Global channels in Vancouver, Toronto, Winnipeg, Hamilton, Ottawa and Edmonton. In her hometown of Calgary, she serves as a regular fitness expert for CHUM television and Shaw Television, and also appears in promotions for related fitness products (Webber Naturals protein powder), among many other activities.
Jari enjoys spending time with her family – husband Ray and two children, ages 13 and 17 - while staying connected with her love of fitness. Maintaining her health has also allowed her to play an active role in her community. She gives the gift of her time to local programs that aid marginalized persons.
